今年も4月になりました。


4月は個人的にはショーの月。

パッと思いつくだけでも、

タイ
ベトナム
香港
広州
台北

のショーが、この一か月の間に開催されます。


比較的近距離の我々アジアのバイヤーは行ったり来たり出来ますが
遠方のヨーロッパやアメリカのバイヤーはそうもいかないため、
巨大な荷物を抱えてショーを転戦するようです。

さすがに長年やっているので小躍りするような発見はありませんが、
それでもやはり短時間で数千、数万の商品を見ることができる
トレーディングショーは重要です。


ただね・・・一日2万歩から3万歩くらい歩くんですよ。
距離にすると優に10km以上。

膝の軟骨すり減るわ。
グルコサミン持って来い！


しかもショーの会場って
万国共通で大体飯が高くてマズイ。


某トレーディングショー会場のマクドナルドは
イメージできないくらいのマズさ。

ねぇマックってこんなにマズく作れるの？
しかも食べもしないパイまでセットでついてくるし・・・
一度なんてビックマックにレタス入ってなかった(-_-ﾒ)


今年も年寄りにはハードな4月が始まってしまいました・・・

とにかく会場が広くて・・・

As for myself April is month of exhibitions

I can think of several shows in a second in

Thailand
Vietnam
Hong Kong
Guangzhou
Taipei

will be hold in just a month.


Our Asian buyers can come and go easy due to short distance but European and American buyers can't do that so they have to struggle to operate a show with huge luggage

As expected, there are no discoveries that will make me jumping for joy, but a trading shows like these that can able to see thousands or millions of items in a short of time are still important.


However that mean I have to walking about 20,000 steps to 30,000 steps a day
literally over 10km

and it make my cartilage of the knee worn out, so I always bring Glucosamine.


Moreover, I suppose it's the same everywhere in the world that most of venue's food is expensive but horrible.

A certain trading show venue McDonald store's dish is unbelievable terrified?
God, McDonald can make something that taste this bad?
It also include a set of pies that I don't eat...
Once time I didn't have lettuce in my set when eating at Big Mac(-_-M)


All I can say that a hard April has started for elderly.

昨日香港出張より戻って来ました。


通常であれば、エージェントの事務所から
彼の運転で空港へと向かうのですが
昨日はフライトの空きがなく、
朝8:00の飛行機になってしまった為に
UBERで空港へ。


ご存知の方が多いと思うのですが
UBERとはインターネットの配車サービス。

要はスマホでタクシー呼べるよ、ということです。


基本的に乗る場所、降りる場所
すべて携帯で指示するので
言葉が通じなくても大丈夫。


また、事前に確定した代金をカードで支払うので、
乗るなり

「300バーツOK？」（どこの国だかわかっちゃうね）

みたいな
メーターを倒さないクズドライバー対策にも有効です。


で、昨日の話ですが
朝5:50にUBERで配車手配したところ、
来た車が

MODEL Xはガルウィング、スーパーカー世代としてはテンション上がる

なんとTESLA MODEL Xだったんですよ。


車好きの人なら良く知っていると思うのですが、
TESLAとは電気自動車専門のメーカーで
香港では税制の優遇もあってよく見るのですが
日本ではまず見ない車。

当然乗ったことはありません。


いやぁテンション上がりましたね。

スマホで電気自動車を手配

ちょっと未来を感じた瞬間でした。


ちなみに乗り心地はガタガタしていて
お世辞にも褒められるものではありませんでした。

車内けっこううるさいし・・・

この価格帯の車にしてはイマイチ。


やはりその辺り、
これまでの技術の蓄積が反映されるのかなと思いました。

IPADのお化けみたいのがドーンと居座ってます

I just came back from the Hong Kong business trip yesterday.


I usually go to airport from agent's office by their car.
But there is no flight left yesterday so I go to the airport by Uber to catch 8a.m plane.


I think a lot of people have already known that Uber is an internet based transportation service.

It's mean that you call a taxi through a smartphone.


Basically, we will give instruction about drop-off point and pick-up point therefore it's gonna be OK if you don't communicate directly with taxi driver.


Also, you pay the predefined fee by your card
so this is an effective method to avoid bad taxi drivers who ask


"300 bath, OK?" (You can guess which country right away)

after you get in immediately.


So, go back to yesterday's story, the car came following my order at 5:50 morning.

I was really excited when I saw the MODEL X gull wing door super car

Oh GOD! It's was a TESLA MODEL X.


Well for car person have already known that
TESLA is a manufacturer specializing in electric car
which you can see often in Hong Kong because of their open tax policy
but rarely come cross in Japan.

Hence, I have never rode it before.


Oh boy. I felt so high!

Arranging an electric car with a smartphone which was a moment that I can felt the step of future.


By the way, the ride sensation was rattling that it was hard to compliment on.

Inside the car is pretty noisy as well... Honestly, the car isn't good with that kind of price.


As result, I think this situation is reflecting the accumulation of technology so far.


So recommending to Mr. Elon Musk!

Let's do a little better in suspension and sound insulation!

香港に住んでいました。


以前お世話になっていた会社を退職し、
父の会社を継ぐと決めたところ

「それなら香港に行け」

聞いてない・・・

で、有無を言わさず3か月後に香港に。


結果、その時に生産に関する知識や言葉を覚えたおかげで
今日までどうにか生きながらえてます。

今更ながら父に感謝。


一番最初に香港を訪れてから早20数年。

未だに香港との縁は深く、
第二の故郷とも呼べる場所です。


昔と比較すると香港人もスマートになり
街並みも以前よりクリーンになった気がします。


一方昔の

「絶対金持ちになってやるぞ」

みたいなエネルギーはすっかり消え去ってしまい、
オールド香港を知るものとしては寂しさも感じますが
これは外国人の感傷ですね。


ひと昔前、玩具は香港の一大産業でした。


雀荘、飲茶の酒楼には
各玩具メーカーの営業が集まり
情報交換をしていたものです。


手足にがっちりタトゥーの入った
ほぼチンピラみたいな奴、
社長に言わずに3軒くらいの工場の営業を勝手に兼任してる奴、
彼女を外の茶餐廳に待たせて
そそくさと営業してどこかに消えちゃう奴、
癖の強すぎる人間の
吹き溜まりみたいな業界でした。


その中にもグループや派閥があって
協力し合ったり邪魔したり。

そんな営業たちもすっかり消え去ってしまい
どこで何をしているやら・・・


さて今月もまた香港経由で中国に出張です。

案外街並みは変わっていなかったりします

I used to live in Hong Kong

At the time I retired the company I worked at and decided to succeed to my father's company. I were told

"Then you should go to Hong Kong"

Really? He had never told me that before and then without answer 3 months after in Hong Kong.

I learned about knowledges and manner of manufacture by that time
Therefore I am somehow alive while be able to acquire some achievement.
Though after such a long time I really thank to my father.

It’s has been 20 years since the first time I visited to Hong Kong, until nowadays the relationship with Hong Kong is still deep,
I suppose it as my second hometown.

Compared to the old days, I feel like Hong Kong citizens also become smart and the cityscape is cleaner than before.

Meanwhile,

"I will definitely become wealthy"

energy in the olden days has disappeared completely.
As a person knew former Hong Kong, I feel a bit lonely.
Just a sentiment of a foreigner.

For a long time ago, the toys was a big industry in Hong Kong.

The sales of each toy maker gathered to exchange information at Mahjong casino or Yumcha restaurant.

Guys who looks like a delinquent with tattoos all over his arms and legs.
Guys who hold 3 factories concurrently without discuss with the director.
Guys who made girlfriend waiting outside the tea room while working hurriedly and then disappeared.
It was an industry that make everyone occur some habits.

There are also groups and factions that cooperate or interfere each other…

All such businesses have completely withdrawn, I wonder what they are doing by now...

Well I also have a business trip to China via Hong Kong this month.

The cityscape hasn't changed that much
